In late October 2012, Hurricane Sandy swept up the East Coast of the US.
With winds of up to 115mph, streets, tunnels and subway lines were flooded and power cut in and around the city. Two of the hardest hit areas of New York were Coney Island and the Rockaway Peninsula.
Reaching these locations with donations of food and clothing shortly after the storm hit, I took my camera out one week, and then one month, following the destruction. As a part of a personal project, I also produced a newspaper containing some of the images and website with information on ways to help.
